Social publishing is what drives social networks we use everyday. Basically the money of social networks, by the users driving other peoples post, keeping their networks going.  You can see by using certain apps such as Twitter, Instagram, or Facebook, you see people on these social networks posting pictures or "tweets" or status, and have a link you can click to there other network or a link for a certain company.  I personally follow a girl on Instagram who post something on her blog everyday with having the link to it.

Like her it is important for her to be using all these networks and driving her blog which is here form of income by advertising other companies on there. It is important also in the aspect as it keeps the social networks running too, they are able to be working off each other with having the capability of one little link option. The example used above are as the book stats "Microblogs", which are a smaller form of the social publishing form only using 140 character boxes.

Big companies and brand use social publishing to get the name out there and also promote other friend company and brands. They benefit from this by having there name get out there through many different forms of social networks, and then people posting about there company as well.  A lot of people in this world use social network sites which is another way companies are benefiting by having those users as well put there name giving them more publicity.
